Global (?) Warming.

Its the hot topic these days everbody is talking and writing about so why should I stay behind. But I am looking at this from a different perspective, lately I've been watching the news and reading articles and I have found that there is another debate raging on inside the whole global warming issue. The debate is whether 'developing' countries , as they call them , should also reduce emissions and join in to stop the whole global warming thing. An Indian scientist was of the view that India has just started to grow and they are predicted to take over the reigns from the United States in 20 years or so as the next super power, so why should they halt their growth when its the already 'developed' countries who have caused and are causing global warming. This is a very valid debate , and I have to side with the Indian scientist. To make matters worse the Kyoto pact is non-binding to the United States, which is the highest contributer to emissions.
So as I see it, it is unfair on countries like India and China who have reached a stage where they are known to be the future super powers. I can't debate on this because Im not really familiar with the scientific point of view of this whole issue, which I think is the most important

I'll end this post with an advertisement which is both funny and effective ( I hope). It features the Blue Man Group which I'm pretty sure will feature on my blog pretty soon again. cheerio
